Join us for a SCUBA Skills Update! You will start by completing a digital learning course, which will bring you up to date with dive theory, equipment, and dive planning. Once you're done with that, you will join us for an in-person review and then a pool session, during which you will review the core dive skills and work on getting comfortable with your buoyancy again!

Who should take this class?

If it has been more than six months, but less than ten years since your last dive, this is the class for  you!

If it's been more than 10 years since your last dive, the best pathway to get you back in the water is through the Open Water class. Though you may remember much of your dive training, the substantial amount of updates to gear and dive planning mean that you will need a more comprehensive reintroduction to diving in order to feel comfortable and confident again.

Is there diving in San Diego?
Absolutely! San Diego is home to awe-inspiring kelp forests, large wrecks, and an amazing variety of marine life!

How do I get to diving more regularly?
Join our dive club! The dive club is offered exclusively to alumni of our programs, so once you're done with your refresher, we would be happy to have you join us at our various dive and land-based events!

Materials Included: Tanks and weights are included with the course. Please select with materials if you need rental gear

Requirements: You must possess your certification card (physical or digital) from a recognized Training Agency (ex. SSI, PADI, NAUI, SDI/TDI, RAID, NASE, NASDS, CMAS, BSAC). You should be able to show proof of diving within the last ten years. After sign up, you will receive an email with paperwork to be completed and asked to register for your MySSI account so you can complete digital student materials before the course.
